In this investigation of the administrative structures of the Seventh-day Adventist church, Oliver examines the historical precursors of reorganization during the years of 1888-1903. He proposes reasons for the reorganization of the church in 1901-1903 and ascertains how the principles involved were related to soteriology, ecclesiology, eschatological vision, and the sense of mission in the church.
